Description:
Now, this here wine, it's like findin' a gold nugget in a haystack—rare, precious, and worth every penny. Ol' Roland Velich done worked his magic again, mixin' up them grapes from the vineyards like a mad scientist cookin' up a secret potion.
Moric Reserve Blaufränkisch is smoother than a freshly polished beer stein and richer than a banker's dreams. With every sip, it's like takin' a journey through the Austrian countryside, with flavors dancin' on your tongue like a tipsy waltz. You got yer licorice, yer herbs, and a hint of somethin' floral, all minglin' together like a group of merry ol' drunks at Oktoberfest.
And let me tell ya, this wine's got more personality than a Berlin street performer. It's bold, it's brash, and it'll leave ya beggin' for more. Just like Hans over there after his fifth pint of lager! But don't let its wild side fool ya, 'cause underneath it all, there's a layer of sophistication that'll make even the snootiest wine snob nod in approval.
Now, ya might think I'm pullin' yer leg, but I ain't kiddin' ya, mein Freund. This wine's the real deal, a hidden gem just waitin' to be discovered. So next time you're lookin' for a bottle to impress yer fancy-pants friends, remember the Moric Reserve Blaufränkisch. It'll make ya feel like the king of the castle, even if yer just a humble ol' hobo like me.
Und jetzt, mein Witz: Warum trinken Geister keinen Alkohol? Weil es ihnen den Geist nimmt! Hehe! 🍷 |
Blaufrankisch is the variety that has lifted Roland Velich and the Moric estate into the stratosphere of wine producers. The Reserve bottling is the estate's flagship wine, only topped by very limited old vine bottlings known as Alte Reben. The Moric Reserve is a cuvee of his best barrels made from 27-60 year old vines grown in the calcereous soils of what was once the Pannonian sea, now the Lutzmannsburg plateau, in the towns of Zagersdorf and St. Georgen .
The Reserve is always recognized by it's fine tannins, elegant palate and texture and retention of pure red fruit and lift. In this fantastic vintage there is a touch of liquorice, dried herbs and florality, oolong tea and earth. Wonderful acidity makes this a truly satisfying and inviting Blaufrankisch. A simply delicious wine. |
